I got back from Cancun a week ago, and have finally gotten around to putting some pics up.
Here we go (in no particular chronological order):

The beach in front of the hotel in Cancun:

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

Right after we left a hotel farther down the strip towards downtown had it's beach seized by the authorities for stealing sand. I kinda wish it'd happened while we were there so I could have seen it.

A cenote I went swimming in:

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

It was full of people, and even more full of catfish. I then ate some catfish there.

Chichen Itza:

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

Chac Mool:

Not to be confused with the earlier rain god, Chaac.

Kukulcan:

I was a little down you can't climb the ruins there anymore.

Vendors that bribed their way in, lining every path in sight:

Cozumel:

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

I'm on a boat!

I'm getting a dive gear carrier of some kind that has wheels. Carrying gear for two people on crowded public ferries and through the streets is a bitch.

Reef:

Good photography is a great deal more difficult underwater and in strong currents:

No really, it is.

Me on the left:

Me again, around 40-50ft down:

We went on a much cooler looking, deeper dive, but the camera wouldn't have survived it, so we didn't take it.

Coba:

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

Palace:

Nohoch Muul:

At the top of Nohoch Muul:

Nohoch Muul looks entirely different when you're about to climb back down. It's far more intimidating in person:

More Nohoch Muul. The rope is there for a good reason:

Coba is far less crowded and touristy than Chichen Itza, and you can still climb the big pyramid. It's still covered in jungle. Magical place. smile

A Mayan village:

Pathway:

A cenote I rappelled into then took a zip line over:

That was fun. I had a good time with this company, Alltournative. They had smaller tours that put you far more in touch with your surroundings than the other tours I took, and they seemed to have a much better relationship with the locals and with the environment. Or far as I could see. I also went canoeing and swimming in another cenote, this one still being underground. And beautiful.

Random me:

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

Mango margaritas rock. I drank a lot of them:

Me at Senor Frogs. Very touristy. The food is ok, but the drinks are STROOOONG!
