Question. Is there a term or label for someone who is having feelings for someone they never socially encountered? TL;DR?
I find it interesting, because of how females and males sometimes fantasize about being with someone whom they never communicated with. For example, a person having a 'crush' on a film/television actor, a news reporter, politician, leaders corporate/non-profit organization, or even deceased people. How and/or why does this happen? Where is the line drawn before becoming a [delusional] creep or an obsessed 'fan'? What should a person do if he/she is feeling/thinking this way? There is a side of doubtfulness; I mean why would a person really think they could get with someone like that? (That preconceived notion) Is it weird, is it flattering, is it creepy, is it awkward, is it a waste of time? It can be a negative impact if the person finds out that the person they have a 'crush' on is intimately taken or is simply not interested, even devastating. Why can it be devastating, and how do some people think "awe darn, oh well"? Is this idea/behavior supposed to help us narrow down what we look for in a friend and/or partner? I began thinking about this, because I see these gorgeous ladies and highly doubt I will be with someone similar. Looks can be deceiving at times, but is there no more representation on how a person behaves or poses so-to-speak to who they are? (Is this even logical?) I just thought maybe I am looking into the eyes of Medusa, and becoming disconnected to what I can really do. (Wait, does that even make sense?) Yeah, I have a messed up brain.
