So in a momentary stoke of genius, I've managed to go almost four months without continuing my blog. This sucks greatly and I offer profuse apologies to all concerned.
Right, well my last blog was two days after my birthday, and two months after THE breakup. Much has happened since. I accidentally nearly slept with someone I really shouldn't have. Unfortunately the 'nearly' aspect led to a couple of months of awkwardness between the girl concerned and myself. Gladly i eventually sucked it up and we had a good chat about it - all sorted now and back to being good friends. Phew!
Apart from that not much has happened, been away with friends a few times and generally made an arse out of myself like I always used to - nice to get back to being me after all that time
Anyway, I've got a whole bunch of great gigs lined up (Manics, Frank Turner x2, Revival Tour, Bad Religion, Foo's, Social Distortion and a few more... I'll be darting down to London a few times for some of those
I've also, finally, decided on getting inked. It's something I've wanted to do for a long time but I could never really decide on what I wanted. Around 8 years ago, I made a deal with the band I roadied for - if they got signed I would have their guitar tuning tattoo'd down my right arm. The day they signed to a minor label was also the day they broke up and since then I could never decide what I wanted. Anywho, with everything that's happened over the last 6 months or so I decided I needed something to remind me of how I got through it and to also remind me to be myself - something that I really didn't remember when I was with the ex. Now I'm back to myself and happy with who I am again, I've picked out something that will remind me to stay like that...
That's what I've finally decided on - it's some artwork done for Frank Turner's Poetry Of The Deed album, which has been played to death over the last few months. I'm looking forward to getting it done - only 8 day's to wait..
Right that'll do for now, I'll try not to leave it so long next time ;p - hopefully have another update this weekend sometime. Off down to London for Strummerville and then out back at home Sat and Sun - hopefully with some stories to tell...
