Today has proved to be an exceptional pain in the ass. I decided sometime on Monday to attempt getting Perl working on my god damn Gentoo webserver of course it could'nt co-operate with me. I ended up reinstalling Apache (which totally changed my system because it went to new version), uninstalling Postgresql and recompling PHP. I've discovered that while I find gentoo is my favorite distrobution there are some things that they've done with with the project that pisses me the fuck off. They've changed Apache like 24234233 times, Right now theres no working mod_perl without using masked binaries. The real pain in my ass that I've been fucked off with the virtual hosting (Multi-homing numerous sites to 1 address). I started to pull my hair out what little of it is left because I kept getting errors everytime I tried opening a new different site in my browser. however 3 of the virtualhosts I setup worked just fine which made no sense to me initially until I realized today when I started back to it that I didn't have an entry in my hosts file for each domain I so of course they didn't display. This fixed it and I felt like an ass at this point. This is the end of this terrible rant.
