I haven't had many of these big gestures, but I have had a few. :) The most memorable was my 16th birthday:
One of my best friends had moved to the Bay Area with no $ so I talked my then-boyfriend into letting her stay with him. Around my birthday, she had said she was coming back to Oregon to celebrate with me. I told her I had cheer practice all day (August birthday) so she could wait at my place or come to the school until I was done. So, towards the end of practice, I look up and see my (long-distance) boyfriend standing there with flowers. The two of them had planned to surprise me by sneaking him up with her. They both stayed through the weekend; my folks also took my bf and I out on their boat for a lazy day...and we managed to hook up on the sly a few times, right under my parents' noses ;)
