I hope everyone had a nice and sappy Valentine's Day.
I'm doing well, I suppose, for all that's going on. My last day (well, night) at work is Wednesday. It'll be so nice to get a good NIGHT's sleep and not have to worry about the stress of the job for once. I understand that I've got to work for a living, but I'm going to enjoy my (hopefully very short) time off.
Also, I got accepted to Old Dominion University! Right now I'm planning on going there in the fall for Music Business/Production, or possibly Performance, but nothing's set in stone. For now the other big plan is to start trying to find a new job, ASAP. I've applied to quite a few places already: Kohl's, Best Buy, Ross, Five Below; and I plan on submitting applications to Hot Topic, Trader Joe's, and a few other places. Hopefully it's not too hard. I'm not really trying to stay unemployed past a few weeks to a month.
I'd like to take a few non-degree classes at the local community college here before I go to ODU, to free up some credits and get back into the swing of school.
I think for now I'm done with producing and whatnot. I'm really just not feeling it as much as before. Don't get me wrong, I loved making music and all that, but the way I was going about it just wasn't fulfilling to me. I prefer live instrumentation and actual performance. I'm still planning on starting another band soon, but I guess it all just depends. I put up the last album I made on my Soundcloud, which is linked in the last blog, I believe. It might be out of order, so you'd have to go to the actual Soundcloud set. I doubt I'll be using the name Hpstrlmbrjck anymore for anything, except for DJing, which I hope to keep going in the future.
This is what I look like lately.
Things are better than I think I'd like to admit. I think now I'll have a nap before work tonight.
