I think I tried to fly today.

I was walking to work, grooving on some music, and running through everything I needed to do in my head. I kind of zoned out with my thoughts and the next thing I know I'm on my hands and knees on the ground.

Thinking back, I can remember pulling my CD player out of my pocket and holding it in one hand so it wouldn't flop around, and breaking into a jog, then a run. I did all this without really thinking about it and I'm not sure why I did it.

In my dreams when I fly its always that progression. there is something chasing me, I start to jog, I start to run, and just as I hit the breaking point for accelerating in running, I feel that swell of adrenaline and Im up and away.

I didn't do this with any concious thought, but I honestly believe that in my mind, I was trying to fly.

Unfortunately in real life there's always that moment when you realize what you're doing and snap back to reality, crashing to the ground.

Maybe if I try hard enough I won't stop and someday I'll take off and never come back.

At least it's nice to suppose so.
