Hi lovely humans,

For my blog homework topic today I have chosen 'What is your idea of the the perfect first date"?

I, myself, haven't actually been on many 'first dates' as such, I have found that many of my connections and relationships have formed naturally rather than going on an actual 'first date'.

However, my idea of the perfect first date would definitely involve something adventurous! I would say I definitely am a romantic, but I definitely do not like anything too cringe or cliche or really any massive public displays of affection. Thinking back, a few years ago I actually did have one first date which I would describe as pretty perfect (just unfortunately it turned out I wasn't too into the guy), but boy did he tick all the boxes for my perfect first date!

It was back when I was living in Queenstown, New Zealand, and if you know Queenstown, you will know it's a very outdoorsy place. Some would say the adrenaline capital of the world! He picked me up in his friends hugeee 4x4 pick up truck that he borrowed and we went on an adventure. I asked where we were going and he was like 'it's a surprise!' Most of the time I do like surprises so I was ok with this one. Suddenly we took a turn off the main road and soon we were 4 wheel driving all the way down the 'Arrow River', it was unreal! We drove all the way down to a big sand bank in the middle and then sat on the hood of his truck, chatted and chatted and watched the sunset. It was pretty romantic. After the sun went down we started driving back, and he was like 'I have just one more thing I want to show you'...again, we took a turn off the main road and soon we were 4 wheel driving down the beach of another river. It was dark by this time, so the stars were just coming out. Again, we got out the truck and sat on the hood and chatted and watched the stars and listened to 'A Day To Remember' blasting through the speakers. Which was funny because we hadn't talked about music, or what bands we were into at this point, so he had no idea what I was into. He randomly put on ADTR, but little did he know, they are actually one of my favourite bands! It was awesome, we connected through music and sat there and enjoyed nature in one of the most beautiful places in the world. It was a date I will never forget and it will definitely take a lot to top! Good job random tinder guy! 😉
