I almost got killed this weekend when a 20 ft. length of 3 inch steel pipe slipped off a half-assed rig 15 ft. above me and whacked me in the right shoulder. Luckily for me and the other 4 people standing under the rig the pipe managed to not hit anyone dead on just my shoulder and grazing the gaffers shoulder..,



Scary shit.

The thing about this incident is it should have never happened, now I know "accidents happen" but there were a lot of really competent people on set, unfortunately people who are friends often "overlook" doing a job right in order to have fun doing it. Now I don't blame anyone for this because I do realize that accidents do sometimes happen, but I also know they can also be prevented.
