man i was a substitute teacher once, it was quite the experience. i sat in on 3rd and 6th grade classes, then eventually started went up to the high school. the high schoolers think their all big and bad until they find out that they actually have to stay in detention when i wrote them up for being fucktards, other than that i was cool. most of the classes i did were in the spring and fall so the kids wanted to be outside, so i let them.

at least with teaching you may start out with an ok salary, but in the end your making some decent bucks with nights, weekends, holidays and the summer off. so if you were to calculate it, it's not that bad. plus a state backed retirement is pretty damn good.
