Personal to Fractal: you're totally rockin' with the black hair and rectangular glasses. Just sayin'.
Playing some more with the Nano tonight. Faith No More and Tool this time around. Just compiling some career retrospectives with the hits from one and the obscure tracks from the other. I never saw Tool live, but I saw FNM on the Angel Dust tour way back in '92 or '93. Seriously underrated album; they were at their apex then.
I spoke with my prospective new landlord this evening. He'll (hopefully) be calling me at work tomorrow to talk about prospectively bringing me on as a tenant. It'll make me sad to leave my current apartment, but of my three landlords, the one I'm friendliest with says that the other two are looking to sell the building. Given the way they procrastinate, it'll probably be at least a year before they actually do anything, but I still don't want to live with that sword of Damocles hanging over my head. And at any rate, I have enough negative associations with this place that finding someplace new would probably not do any damage to my emotional health.
Find of the day: season three of Babylon 5 from a street vendor for $30. Am I even allowed to admit I'm this much of a nerd here? Does it bring down the property value? It's not a collection of burned DVDs and it was factory-sealed, which means it probably either fell off a truck or was embezzed by the sellers from Best Buy. Well, given that Best Buy gives some rather hefty donations to the Republican party, I have no real issues with stealing from them and instead putting money in the pockets of some enterprising youngsters, regardless of the legality (which I hope everyone realizes is not and never has been synonymous with morality). Particularly with all the hours it's going to give me to relive my geeky 20s on the cheap.
And now another eppy awaits. Time to pop the popcorn and don the pocket protector!
