Never underestimate the power of Kenny Loggins and Footloose... Was in the club watching my friend spin, and at the end of the night when the lights went on and everyone had left the dance floor I looked at him and said "Footloose" and once that beat started people started migrating away from the exit and back to the floor and then when that guitar riff kicked in it fucking went off. The dance floor exploded and there were like 5 people in the middle of it all that were doing some dance from the movie in unison.. As if they wandered from club to club just hoping to hear Footloose.
Super excited about SXSW this year, gunna be djing some vip area after party thing for a couple days. The pay is redonkulous. Kenny Loggins is coming and then at the very end of the month Hall & Oates.
New girl (kinda), new friends, soberer living, going back to school... December's drama was probably the best thing that's happened to me. I've always been naive but I kinda realized just how naive I was over the course of the past year. Live and learn, here's to a good 2010.
