My friend Dave sent me these questions over e-mail and when I replied, he kept not receiving the e-mail. I have no idea why but I know some networks weed out certain words and such. No matter how many times I emailed him this response, he got nothing.
So I'm posting it here.

1) Most overrated 70s punk band.

That's easy- The Sex Pistols. They supposedly heralded the death
rattle of rock n roll, which still lives and breathes albeit in a
different form. They were also little more than a concept band put
together via a father figure ala New Kids on the Block. And after
pissing and moaning about how they didn't give a shit and fuck you
for listening to us and caring, they DID A FUCKING REUNION TOUR!!!!!
yes, they have some great tunes, but all that is outshined by their
hypocrisy.

2) Most underrated 80s new wave band

That's tough because I'm not an in-depth listener to new
wave. I really just know the hits. I'll go out on a limb (because
I doubt you'd consider them a new wave band proper) and say
the Cocteau Twins.

3) Best song from Elvis Costello

Again, I only know his hits. I've been wanting to get into his very
first album, which a friend tells is just phenomenal. But even out of
his hits, I'd have trouble choosing. I like the unwavering sincerity of
"Peace, Love, and Understanding", the musicality of "Oliver's Army" and
the conversational quality of "Allison". Dude..tough choice. I guess
I'll go with "Oliver's Army".

4) Worst cover song

Oh God, this is easy...I just heard this song and it made me want
to laugh and vomit while shitting me drawers. Ryan Adams, who has NO business making
music of his own (let alone covering anyone), has done a cover of
"Wonderwall" by those sacks of shit known as Oasis (aka the beatles
wannabes). It's this mellow, acoustic version which can't do anything
but suck. You've got to hear this thing.

5) Worst category among 1-4, above

That's tough because I only know the hit categories. I suppose I'll go with number 2 because it was played a lot in the mid 30s.
