Finally...a couple of days off to regroup and let out some creative turbulence. It's been pretty busy in TVLand for the last while(which is good from a financial point of view, indeed) but now it's time to let loose a bit before going back into the saltmines. Today I get back to some overdue image editing from a session I had weeks ago before readying...

Thank you for your continued support in these troubled times. You are an effective enabler, I must say.

My new iPod will be a spectacle of eclecticism and a model to other musical devices.

You need to hire some other people to post comments.

Currently reading Miles Davis' autobiography (appropriately titled "Miles") which is just a treat. Great insights into the birth of the bebop era and all the characters that inhabited it. An awesome read and a great inspiration for musicians in particular, I do believe.
I've read music (auto)biographies a-plenty over the years and here are a few of my other recommendations:

Thanks, dude. I will indeed continue to try to make myself long and lean, which is a tough call for someone who's 5'1" and has little waist to speak of.

Lady in the Water was on the menu yesterday and having the day off was the perfect excuse to go 'round the corner to the theatre and catch an afternoon flick.
Hehe....looks like I enjoyed it much more than most critics seem to have but I'm a sucker for M. Night's style of storytelling and I can forgive a rather ramshackle story as long as...

I have definately seen Guesthouse Paradiso, but I cant really remember it too well (maybe it wasn't too memorable). Legue of Gentleman is great, but I have never heard of Spaced, so I shall look into that one.
I was really looking forward to A Scanner Darkley, the new Keanu Reeves live animation movie, but it's not being released in theatres in Canada. Boohoo.
Turn of the century magicians eh? Sounds like my kinda movie!

missmathilda:

PS. If you like the young ones, you absolutely must check out a show called 'bottom'. It's the actors that played vivian and rick from the young ones, but now they're older, creepier and with way more toilet humor. Its absolutely hillarious, I highly recommend it! biggrin

Cabbage Rolls and Coffee....

...MMM MMM GOOD!
I loved the Shmenge Brothers on SCTV....the polka-playing Yosh & Sten were my heroes.

A local tv station was running the Blues Brothers movie on the weekend and despite the ham-fisted carcrash scenes there are some classic chunks of comedy in there as well as dozens of turns by great actors and musicians in secondary roles, including the...

Haha, remeber the scene in uncle Buck were he make the giant pancakes? Classic! And you forgot The Great Outdoors and the not so gem-like but equally amusing Cool Runnings!
P.S. I saw you are a photographer so I checked out your website... very impressive! The website layout is awesome and I love your portraits. ARRR!!!

hi! re: "Definitely happens to me on a regular basis -- not sure why...I s'pose I like to think that it's some kind of built-in device to prevent me from thinking too highly of myself! Y'know, I start thinking that I'm on some kind of roll, things are looking up, feeling good, nothing can possibly -- oh, wait, no -- remember that stupid thing I said back in 1991...? Urm......"

Ha ha... very well put. I think you're right it must be some sort of built in fail safe to keep us humble. Welcome to SG, fellow Torontonian. smile
