quick update: sold some work, went to indiana, curated into a show next year, painting, work still blows, need a new job, seen some shows, bought some records, hung out, opening at the beverly art center friday, going to a show on saturday (fear city, chicago's best oi! band plus flatfoot 56 and riverboat gamblers at the beat kitchen).

my condolences go out to Cat and her family and friends and anyone who was affected by her husband's death. my sister used to live right across the street from the village tap. i had been in there many times with her for burgers and beer...there was a very nice article in today's chicago sun times.

Thank you Sean. I am assembling information on the upcoming opening.... do you have any samples of your work so I can get an idea of what it looks like/how to incorporate it? The show is going to be at LUX GALLERY in Lake View, some time between the 4th of August and the 29th of September. Please e-mail me with your contact info.
Thanks!

3 days off and not a lot going on, thank God...saw a southside oi! band last night called "fear city", which is always a good time...then to irishfest at gaelic park tomorrow with the family for some trad. irish music and flogging molly...
the division i work for has been absorbed by a bigger division and my group has moved...there is tighter quarters and thinner walls and my computer faces out towards a walkway, so no more whiling away the hours in front of suicide girls, art and/or tattoo websites and myspace...i may actually have to do work! so my already infrequent updates are about to get a...

what's up?
Cool, i'm glad you dig it. The same goes for the stuff you sent me.
I still regret that my tape deck broke before the swap. My best shit is on vinyl.
I just got back recently. It's only temporary, though; I finished recording some old stuff i had on the back burner and now i wanna get it out to people across the U.S to people who know their shit about punk, so natuarlly i thought of Apu.
how has the group been?

OFFICE SPACE references make everything better... i'm 24, i didn't end up being the design manager, which is half good and half bad, i'm now being stretched between the two owners to work on entirely separate projects at the same time, both of which really need someone full-time, if not a small staff...
i didn't dig The Life Aquatic very much. it had charm, but it felt like Andersen was going to the well on it. Bill Murray was incredible, it was well-acted and well-done, but I felt that it was missing a story.

life aquatic was cool. it started slow but all the different characters grew on me as the movie progressed. have you seen "the man who knew too little" with Bill Murray? It's one of my favorites with him in it.
