you know, i'm not sure how to use this thing as a proper journal...i write the most boring shit in here...so i'll stick to the immediate: listening to le tigre, trying to make a mix for the weekend loosely based on the concept of what ben sherman was in the 1960's using both old and contemporary music...thinking about how i'm going to make a "punk" mix for the c.d. swap seeing as how i don't listen to that much proper "punk" anymore...doing research on labor unions...thinking about how to tell my boss that i am taking tomorrow off (i actually have a legitimate excuse; my son is sick)...thinking my trip to get tattooed on sunday...looking out the window at our freakish chicago weather...

i just got back from spending the entire afternoon with bleach, actually. he wasn't working on me, but on a friend. i'm coming out on my spring break (i go to art school in new york) to have him start a 3/4 sleeve when he's working up in MN. sad he's leaving madison. frown

i spent a year at a private college in madison for art education. then i took a year off and worked at a coffee shop on state street for awhile before moving out to new york to go to school for graphic design.

hmmm....can you somehow combine the labor union theme into punk rock? Or does the whole concept of anarchy reignin supreme sort of undermine the who spirit of the common man working for higher raises and better health care? Something to ponder tongue
