stargate. season finale was great. can't wait for season 8 + atlantis.
read a bunch of spoilers for atlantis, so much cool stuff. totally excited.
except: they've got a different actress playing dr wier on atlantis. god knows why. i can't tell if she'll be any good, and while i realize two episodes isn't quite enough to really have any kind of attachment to the other girl, i'll have to see the new one in action before i lose my misgivings.
her portrait on imdb looks nice, but the cast picture they released makes her look all scowly and annoying. same with the new military guy, although the o'niell pilot guy looks like he'll be fun. the teal'c 'native warrior girl' is probably going to be stupid. the new daniel jackson-type is good, he's already been on the show.
so who knows. characters could be interesting or irritating. conceptually they've got a solid basis for a spinoff, expanding on the stuff that made sg-1 good, adding to it, and not simply repeating more of the same, or less of the same.
bleah.
can't freaking wait for halo 2. i'm even eagerly awaiting all the weekly updates, and getting annoyed when they're late.
borrowed a big stack of hellboy comics from my brother so i can read them before the movie comes out. i've bought and love all the stuff they've done in the last couple years, but i still haven't read seed of destruction, wolves of st august, the corpse and the iron shoes, or all the old dhp stuff.
also talked to scott about the design he's working up for my website, which sounds really interesting. i've made a list of toys to take good pictures of and he's going to photoshop them into image headers to base color schemes and things around. should be neat.
been thinking lots and lots lately about delusions of adequacy, good. maybe i'll finally start the damn thing now that i've got a firm storyline worked out.
need to dig out a blank sketchbook and carry that and color markers around so i can start working with color, and/or doing more 'finished' artwork, instead of just sketchy ballpoint.
also need to learn photoshop and flash.
it's way too goddamn early in the year for me to want to wear my sandals. but it's 72 outside. in march. i don't think that's right.
