i think the best news to come out of toy fair so far is that palisades is going to make invader zim toys. real action figure toys.
of course, there's no pictures. toy fair this year is fairly light on actual pictures of new product, and heavy on theoretical lines that exist only as a bit of text in a press release.
still. given their fantastic work on the muppet show line, i'm giving palisades complete faith to do zim right. i can't wait for more information.
mcfarlane, of course, can blow themselves. you drop out of toy fair to do your own website coverage, but then your huge 'toyfest' event doesn't have pictures of ANYTHING other than a few sports figures? i want to SEE the figures! i don't care if they're prototypes, i want to get some idea what you're going to do with conan, more tortured souls, and robocop.
toy biz is going to just absorb money from me this year with their lotr trilogy lineup. i don't think there's a figure i want that isn't coming, except a balrog. and neca is making a balrog. granted, it's injection molded instead of rotocast, so it'll be huge, heavy, and expensive, instead of lightweight and cheap. still. it's the freaking balrog. unless it sucks i still want one that's in scale, meaning 20+ inches tall. it'll look good next to mezco's 18" movie hellboy.
