terribly star trek pitch #7 -- rikers enterprise
(that ought to say 'terrible' but i like it as it is)
will riker is the captain, tom riker is the first officer, deanna is confused, and hilarity ensues. and the best part is that jonathan frakes would actually do it. direct, write, and star, twice.
it'd be fucking fantastic. crew it with some people from all three shows so there's some familiar faces, and then make up insane new characters.
tom paris, harry kim, nog, barclay, and maybe wesley, if we could talk wil wheaton into it. i should go link this to his journal here and ask him.
we could let him write. that might do the trick, with the side effect of the show being any good.
new characters would include an e.m.h. who doesn't want to be a doctor, vulcan and romulan twin sisters, and a klingon engineer who doesn't like to fight.
so so so bad.
my other idea (#6) was to simply take boston legals character dynamic, exactly as it is, and transplant it into star trek. instead of denny crane, we get senile kirk.
