I can agre with that because when I was growing up I was considered too "dark." I grew up with a complex thinking "light" was better and with Halle Balle became mainstream, America thought that was the Black defintion of beauty. So, I can definately understand where he is coming from.

To each his or her own.... I would love to go natural but since im from a mixed ethnic background...being black, white and native american. My hair is a curly hot frizzy mess...when its natural....thats why I rock a wig and thats why i cut my hair into a faux hawk.....But then again im not the average american black girl either. I have a shoe fetish but yet very afrocentric.
