A few days ago, a local church hosted a summer festival a couple miles from my house. Brother and I were bored so we road my tandem bicycle down to see what was going on. It wasn't a very exciting time. This was the type of event grandmotherly women enjoy, so the atmosphere was not really suited to brother and I.

The only thing that caught our attention was the rummage sale they were holding in the basement of the church. Many of the items for sale weren't even of consideration. Of course with it being a church sale put on by the elderly patrons, most items were priced between five and fifteen cents. After we made our circle around, we spotted the one buyable on our way out. They were selling an old electric organ which one of the men supervising the sale told us belonged to the ex-priests mother. Brother and I so into making music could not resist this find with the sixty dollar price tag it was wearing.

We came back with my vanlater that day and picked up the organ. We had quite the experience getting the two hundred and fifty pound organ up the stairs and into our house, but we managed. Out of curiosity, we looked up the organ on eBay when we got home. There were only a couple of the same model, but both were selling right around three hundred.

So the church festival was not all bad. I got to visit with my grandmother for a while, I bought the organ, and a friend that I hadn't seen in years offered to get my high. I had to turn him down since I was with my brother (can't have any chances of it getting back to mother) and I had to pedal the tandem home afterwards.
