I lost the remote control to my television set about a year ago. I can not use my XBox with my television as I do not have the remote control to switch over to "Video" input.
Earlier today I was gifted twenty dollars to go to Wal-Mart and buy laundry soap (praise for the parents). Since the largest bottle of Purex only cost around five dollars and thirty cents, I wandered for a few minutes to see if I could find anything else of use. To my surprise (note the sarcasm) I found myself in the electronics department.
I remembered my missing television remote control which was a surprise to me as it had never crossed my mind with my numerous visits to Wal-Mart's electronics.
I picked up an RCA "Universal" that was "Compatible with today's most popular brands." I brought the contraption home, and after scrounging up a pair of AA batteries, proceeded to program the remote control. As my luck would have it, the remote works wonderfully, except for the Input button which was the only one I had any interest in.
Now for the detail which inspired this entry: While using a random key I found in my van to open the plastic of the remote control's packaging, I tore the skin on the inner edge of the tip of my left index finger.
Whenever I touch my fingers together, It provides me with a very irritating itching, stinging sensation.
