i completely and totally was overcome by geek wonder. there was an older (from 2000, i believe) Discover Magazine show on the Science Channel that was dealing with the ways things walked. one of the sections was on multi-legged insects. and, i shit you not, the example the expert guy who has been studying the way insects move their legs used the old He-Man Spydor battery-operated vehicle toy as an example.

i was fucking stuck with my mouth agape for several minutes, unable to do much other than blink, thanks to the nerdgasm that brought on.

that thing was fucking awesome as a kid.
