Aw man!
Id got so good with the regular update thing and then I go and forget to turn my computer on for several weeks.
Update Update Update.
Been working loads which sucks but i pissed of a work experience kid so much he started telling everyone he wanted to fight me which was pretty funny.
Aparently Ive been "tagged" by a lovely young lady and i believe that means i have to do some kind of "20 things you may or may not know about me" list. See i know whats going down round here. Im down with the kids.
1. "When i was 4 years old, out in France I almost died. A wave swept up to the shore and took me back for the ride"
2. I am recovering from an unhealthy obsession with buying vintage mics off e-bay. I managed to stop after just afew hundered pounds was blown but to this day i cant let myself type those words into an ebay search........."vintage microphone"...........
3. Im pretty darn tall so people often ask how tall i am but i havent weighed myself or measured my height since i was a kid. Just doesnt interest me.
4. I dont eat any fruit or vegetables! This should make me ill but im a picture of good health! Ever since i was old enough to not have to eat what my mum told me to eat i just stopped eating em. Dont like em. Dont eat em. Simple as that.
5. Due to fact number 1 i have had a stutter since the age of four. It was far worse when i was young. Hardly ever happens now.
6. My best holiday ever was with three mates two Octobers ago to New York. It snowed. I saw Themselves, Sage Francis and the beautiful Suicide Girls burlesque tour.
7. I recently recorded my first album. Keep going on about this. Excited though! Fact one is an extract from it.
8. When i was 14(ish) I had hypnotherapy and that is how i found out that fact number 1 had happened and caused fact number 5. (paying attention?)
9. On March 7th 1963 I drummed on the John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman session under the name of Elvin Jones.
10. I ghost wrote three tracks on Eric B & Rakims 1988 classic album "Follow the Leader" but am contractualy obliged to never reveal which tracks.
11. In 1973 helped Iggy Pop produce "Search and Destroy". We mastered the whole album in two days and shared just one t-shirt.
12. I killed Bambi.
13. In 1227 I recommended that Genghis Khan break off his campaign against the Tanguts due to his worsening illness. On realising this was the right choice Khan rewarded me with the mobile palace of the king of the Tanguts.
14. I dont really like talking bout myself that much so to expect 20 facts was always fairly optomistic.
15. I always wear two watches and, as often as possible a suit and leather tie. Whatever the occasion, whatever the venue.
16. A short while ago Fanny wrote a wonderful update about her first realisations of sexual feelings. I couldnt place when mine had occured at the time but a week later i was watching TV and a female comedien (whos name has completely gone from my memory!) and i suddenly remebered watching her at a young age every week on "who's line is it anyway" and feeling hugely attracted to her because she was a girl and she was pretty and she made me laugh. Oh youth......
17. I just found out Blonde Redhead are playing the Scala on sunday and although im working i must now find a way to make my attendance at the gig so.
18.Dammit I realy cant believe that anyone would still be reading this dribble.
19. Think i might go look at some boobs.
