Men came yesterday, put a temporary fix on the roof holes (3). Whats stupid is that weve proved that the insurance response time is better than that of the police, despite having reported the problem/break to the police first (and the roof guys actually arriving 24 hours late).
California Update: still waiting for Chris (Pastras) to look at my work I guess/waiting for confirmation in writing to dictate the timeframe and then I can apply for my visa/pass accommodation.
All you on holidays, with art experience, come and help out with our community project if you can, we can always go with extra pairs of arms, and people we can set loose and know that what theyre going to produce will be of an acceptable standard.

Now Waiting for surveyor to look at roof today, so that we can actually have someone proper sent out, last Thursday was a shambles, new fridge arrived as other men were digging up the garage to find out why we had water coming through our floor. . . long story short they did their best, but the valve to shut it off from the street didn't work so we had to wait for anther man to come and fix that before they could come back, fix the burst pipe and clear up the mountain of debris that's where my dad's smart car should be in the garage, so we've got an open hole that's slowly filling with water in the garage.
Man comes the next day to fix valve in road, so now we wait until next Friday with no water pressure and grits coming in through the pipes. FUN
BTW bought Half Life 2: Episode 1, computer freezes and starts smelling funny about 5 minutes in, roll-on payday and I can finally get components that work AND other components that work with each other. And a cooling system that actually keeps it cool!!!
Chris Pastras (the Guy on whom my entire trip to California and future with Stereo depends upon) isn't even in the USA at the moment, so how he's supposed to be looking at my virtual portfolio which is (according to Sam [head of HR]) in his inbox, I don't know.
I've got a crush in a friend, not good, (I've told her and honesty is usually the best policy in matters of the heart) and to make thing just that little worse, another completely unrelated friend, with whom I've just begun hangout out with socially had an unreciprocated crush on me. Thing is she's a great person (who hopefully doesnt read my blog), and frequently works with me/Undercroydon but despite all of our taste similarities, our ability to chat for hours about inconsequential or important shite, without loosing one another, I am not in the least bit attracted to her, I like her style, but she's . . . a lot larger than I am (but that's not saying much) quite depressive and comfort eats, drinks lots, munchie binges and had a terrible metabolic rate which all add up to her: (A) gaining even more weight in the near future and (B) breaking one of my major dating faux-pas "I will not date you if; you get sufficiently intoxicated more than once a month that you either need to be looked after or are throwing up" ah well shes better than Holly at least shes not on Crack.
There's only a few girls in my life that I'll make that exception for, Julia, because she REALLY can't handle booze, or at least couldn't when we partied back in the day, and Emms because she's Emms, and I'd stand by her through anything, also if she got that messed up there'd be a reason. And of course my current crushes because when youre infatuated with someone you'll put up with tones of crap.
Mural's going well, not exactly speedily, but it's on target (relatively) and things around that project are progressing at an acceptable standard.
Good skating all weekend really getting a lot of my old tricks back, flips are still eluding me, but given time and afford Im sure that'll only be temporary.
Dreading going back in September now, especially if Ive got to fudge together my summer project using e-mail and guesswork.

"Bob,
I dont know how we can accommodate you at the moment. The brand may be taken a different direction over the next few months. I cannot commit to placing you at the moment.

so now I'm royally fucked and have 21 days to do something about it
