well, its been an interesting few days.

thursday afternoon i got a call from an old friend in iowa. he is now a general manager for the largest harley dealership in that quad state area. turns out his head mechanic has been stealing from them for 32 years now and he just found the proof. he offered me a job. my DREAM job. starting off as head mechanic, moving to service manager in a few months. then possibly running a new shop they are opening up next year.

the old man called me later and talked to him but the more i thought about it the more i didn't want to go. i want to finish my yacht. i don't want to leave st augustine. i love it here. so friday i called my buddy back and told him no. i would be giving up too much. he said think about it some more because its an opportunity of a lifetime and call him back saturday.

so, friday i check my bank account to make sure i got paid, only to discover that my boss randomly decided i get paid too much and cut my paycheck by a third. this has been an ongoing issue with him for years, he just picked the wrong day to jerk my around. i talked to my partner on the boat and he agreed id be stupid not to go so i called my buddy back and told him i was in. me and the old man are now negotiating some numbers

this is going to be interesting.
