Yesterday was one of the best days of my life.
Started out actually sleeping in till 10am. Which for me, is late. With my normal work schedule i'm up around 7 am, and even during the summr when i don't have to be awake that early, i still seem to get up around that time. So, sleeping till 10 was nice.
I got ready and headed into the next town over, where i used to live. This is where all my friends are and is a much more happening town than where i'm currently at, even though its about half the size. I ate brunch at my friend John Bubacz's underground cafe. He really has the best coffee i've ever tasted.
From there i went to the park and played hackey sack with some friends, and afterwards went back to the cafe to meet up with my fellow band members. After having some more coffee and good conversation, headed over to band practice.
Our friend Austin was there to take some band photos so we can send those out with our demos. Hopefully this will help us get some more gigs. Band practice went great, but Johns, our guitarist, amp went out so practice ended early. It was so hot yesterday that we all stripped down into our boxers and sat in the river. If this hadn't been in a community with some kids in it i would have stripped down all the way because that river felt so good. So we just sat in the water, drank beers, and threw sticks to some dogs that decided to join us.
That was it. For some reason, yesterday just left me feeling really good. Sure if i had come home to a beautiful woman who could have given me a back massage with a happy ending it would have been even better, but since i currently have no beautiful woman to do such things in my life, i can't complain. The rest of the night was spent playing video games and eating pizza.
The perfect way to end the weekend. I hope everyone else had a good one as well.
