SO... as promised, a few pics from the flood. Unfortunately, it was the middle of the night when it flooded, so we didn't get any pics of the water, but we got some good ones of the mess it left the next day, which we have almost cleaned up Ash has been working hard.

The next afternoon. It starts all over again.
Some poor persons car in the creek.
We were actually very lucky. The water was still a good 4 or so metres from the house. We know people who's houses are sopping wet
And alot of people in the estate lost their fences. We even heard of one guy that lost his dogs because they were tied to their kennel which went under in the middle of the night So sad. I'm sure alot of cattle didn't fair too well either. And I know if we still had our chicken, she surely would have drowned.
Oh well... such is life. You clean up and move on.
Today I spent HOURS watching animal videos on youtube. My cheeks are sore from smiling.
That motivated me enough to go and get the pen ready for our new chicks I can't wait to be a mummy to some little chickens again. I really want to mummy some more ducklings, but we just don't have the room for them But I'm happy with chicks, seeing as though we have no chickens at the moment. I'll hand raise them again. My last rooster used to run over and sit on my lap and fall asleep every afternoon, it was really nice I hope to have that again.
I had the best, snuggliest sleep with my Bella dog today She's so sweet. She follows me everywhere. From room to room. All she wants to do is sit in mummy's lap. It's gorgeous. And whenever I have a dream with myself in it, she is always by my side. That's love. 
Well... I think it's bed time. alexisonfirefan has unknowingly drilled it into my head that 10:00pm is bedtime. Him and his stupid routines. I think hubby actually likes it though. At least it's putting some kind of routine into my horrid sleeping patters. I'll sleep normal hours one day. Thanks to alexisonfirefan and hubby. It's like having 2 big brothers, I swear.
