So last time I wrote in this damn journal was atleast a week ago ... Not much has happened since then except for work and more work ... I did however buy a new guitar rig ... If anyone cares it is a Line 6 II HD head with the pedal board or as they like to call it - The floorboard - I also got a Marshall slant cabinet with the it ... All of it came by way of winning an ebay auction in the last 10 minutes ... It was a complete package that I got for $860.00 plus S&H and ins. ... Damn good deal I think ... I haven't had the time to crank it up because we as a band haven't had practice in over 3 weeks ... We try to take the time off of tour to stay away from each other for a little while ... We do need to start working on new songs and rehearsing for the next tour though ...
In other news it looks like I will be going away starting Aug. 30th and going until Nov. 2nd on a long job for a presidential campaign tour setting up lights and sound every day for 9 weeks ... I won't be able to play my electric guitar for way to long but I will bring my acoustic ...
We also started the concert series Live On Pen. down in DC last weekend ... Again doing light & sound ... I will be missing it this weekend because ofArtscape 2004 ... The stage set-ups were on wed. and thurs. is all of production on the stages and the show days are Fri., Sat. & Sun. ... I will be on the small stage working all weekend so I bringing my new RV and parking it behind the stage ... Working fridge for the beer / Sleeping areas / maybe a tv / shower and bathroom if I need ( & remember to fill the water tanks ) and if I can get my own 20amp cicuit we should be able to have Air Conditioning in that bad boy ...
Well next weekend I start back at Live On Pen and that goes until I leave for the campaign tour and then when I get back from that I should have about a week of practice with the band before we hit the road for a coast to coast tour ... West Coast here we come once again baby ... I love playing L.A. CA ...
