i have been bored as shit lately and have been listening to allot of my old beck albums (it is no secret how much i love early beck and how i feel it is another great and mighty way punk shows its face and influence) but i have come to realize how many events in the mysterious and often nonsensecal lyrics of the myriad of his early works have actually taken place in my life. now i know that he was... mearly painting an apthetic potrait of a homlessness overridden zombiesque apocalypse of the american heartland. some of these events may have transpired in his life but i am told most did not and were merely entertaining witticisms and anecdotes. but i have lived many. now is this somehow a subconscious desire to live out bizarre, depressing, depraved, and disturbed imagery of some awesome music, or am i just that big a fuck up. most would agree with the 2nd statement being the most obvious and prevalent in my endeavors (and with you i am likely to agree) i will be presenting you with some of these events that are lyrics in old beck songs but have taken place in my actual life once, twice, three times and or more. we will start with " i woke up on the futon and my boots were on fire" this i can say has happened concretely twice in my memory and is very possibly to have occurred more than said 2 times. more to follow in future posts thank you for your time and patience.
