taught my best friend's daughter chess today. the kid is the most brilliant 7 year old i've ever met. She told me she never even learned checkers, but she can beat both her parents at othello easily. I think chess is a great game to learn at a young age. it's good "brain stretching", or at least that's what I told Ravenne today.
