MY MOUSE IS DEAD! YEPPIE! So i have had an unwelcome guest in my house since like December or so, and it was really starting to get to me. The damn mouse used to taunt me at night and come out and look at me while i watch TV, with lights on and everything! So at first my roomie didn't want to kill him, so we bought the humane traps, but he outsmarted our humane traps and liked the peanut butter she had put on the door, but never went in to get the big cracker full of peanut butter. Then i decided to by more traps, and when that didn't work, i bought more. I ended up with six different types of traps, 11 traps in total, and this damn mouse still wasn't caught! Part of the problem is we have a rabbit (who was on the news today! ) And so this limited my possibilities. The other night i had just gotten dressed to go to the gym when Peanut (that is the rabbit's name) got stuck in the huge rat glue trap, which was behind the TV. Judy (my roomie) had let her out while she was cleaning her cage. It took us an hour and a half to get all the glue off poor peanut. We had to cut the glue off the hair on her feet, so now she looks kinda funny. I felt bad that the news stopped by this morning, and we had just given her that horrible haircut. (The were doing a story on bunnies as pets for easter and how people don't take the responsibility seriously.) So up to this morning i had not caught this damn genius mouse, but i did catch my dumb rabbit. Then tonight after i had finished my amazing dinner (i made seared scallops on four cheese risotto with a small portion of mixed greens with a mandarin ginger vinaigrette as my app, and then pan seared ahi tuna over bamboo rice topped with homemade beurre blanc and mango salsa....and for dessert.....gun cake!) i looked over at a trap i had looked at this morning as the news crew was filming. This morning the trap was empty....but tonight:
