ive made mention before of how the LOTR return of the kings was stuck in my dvd player. its the slot loading kind, which a bit more complicated than the tray type.

after an online chat with sony tech support a few weeks ago, they told me to 'unplug it for 15 min and allow it to reset itself' no go, next, he sends me a link to the nearest sony service center.....IN LUBOCK TEXAS. plus there is a $200 service fee.....for a dvd player that while at the time of purchase was over $300, but im sure is not worth a service fee.

i told the guy i would be better off throwing it out the window, and he said he understood my frustration and was sorry he couldnt help me. he had no idea.

so scoots isnt one to give up so easily......



i crack that sucker open and i could not figure out what was keeping it from spitting out until a little more force and it drops from the players kung fu grip.

turns out there is a very sticky substance on the center of the disk. it seems our little throbbits sam and frodo where indeed bumping peanuts afterall and pudded all over my dvd!

not that there is anything wrong with that.
