another scoots lack of attention:
i send my flight schedule home to my mom because they were freaking out that they didnt know the exact details.
mom calls "you know your return flight says you are coming back JAN 29th"
umm, fuck?
so i call orbitz, i call america west.....nothing.... but an additional $380 on a $381 round trip flight.
so my co-worker who has quickly become one of my best friends, idol, mentor, and all around good guy (he is like 20 years older than me, not that it matters but ive never bonded with someone older than me besides my grandpa) suggests we go across the street to the orange county airport and see what we can do. just like him to make my problems his own.
we talk to the ticket lady and she waves the increase in air fare for the changed flight back to CA and only charges the $100 change penalty with a wink and a nod.
my friend throws out his credit card and says "put it on this....merry christmas buddy"

That's awesome! Good for you. I'm flying America West this year as well, and had a problem with my ticket. They were terrible on the phone and completely unhelpful. I'm glad to hear things worked out for you though.
