i came across a man in the produce section at ralph's as i was grabbing a bolthouse farms vedge vegtable juice (my new obsession in beverages)

i noticed him oddly poking at the bagged walnuts right in front of me, placed on bag over the other and walked away with his hand in a fist. i then just watch in amasement as he starts popping walnuts into his mouth.

i went over, moved the bag to see the one under it had a hole torn in it like it had been worked on by a mouse.

now im not one to let people get away with shit like this. i believe in common decency but he was an older gent, and he was with his wife. i wanted to call him out, but felt he probably is on a fixed income etc but does that justify cutting into a whole bag for a few nuts? plus i didnt want to embarass him in front of his old lady.

so as she left him with the cart, i swooped in and said "you know you really should buy that bag of nuts you ripped into he quickly replied "im am, did i leave them over there?" ........i thought to myself yes, you accidently left them strategically under another bad......

i felt kinda bad, and ended up saying as a dad would to his young kid "you know....thats not very nice" as i led him to the walnuts to point out his forgotten, carefully hidden bag of nuts.

he grabbed them and put them in his cart. i made sure to give him a dissapointed look when i passed him and his wife several more times.

its stealing people, and if i ever catch any of you helping yourself to bagged snacks you dont intend to buy, ill come after you too.
