miss my flight to calgary. next option for a $40 charge is a 7:40pm to vancouver, then an immediate transfer of gates to catch the late flight to calgary. mmm sounds fine ill take it.
whew.....wait! ladies and gentlemen, there seems to be too much fluid in one of the valves. we are going to check it out.......wait....turns out we need to get off the tarmac......wait....now we are just waiting on our air canada affiliate here in LA to call their mechanics......3.5 hours later we are ready for take off.
ive obviously missed my connection and any other flights to calgary....but they got me a hotel and a 7am flight, which will be too late for my first meeting......but hey, its late. which is why customs wants to pull me aside to discuss my driving record for some time. 3am arrival at hotel, shuttle leaves at 5:30. ya think im gonna sleep? no. sleep for an hour on a short plane ride? no
one drink and i think ill pass out.
