Hope everyone had a great new year's celebration. We enjoyed a nice semi-quiet night at a bonfire thrown by my little brother's inlaws. His wife's family are a bunch of crazy Corsicans and we go over there every year for the bonfire. As usual there was much homemade sangria, which was yummy, and lots of good food. Too many little kids for my taste this...

I know it's a sign that I am not where I should be , doing what I am supposed to be doing. But does anyone else ever stop in the middle of a task at work and wonder "what the fuck am I doing here?!" ? Just curious...

and no, this does not apply to my photo work...this only happens when I am at my...

Used to get that feeling all the time, bro. In fact, used to say those exact words ('what the fuck am I doing here') every single day (at least once)... so I walked away from my high-paying gov't job. And although I've had the opportunity to go back - and for other, similar positions with much higher pay - I've resisted based on the simple fact that I hate feeling that way every day and no amount of money is worth it.

Visualize your dream(s)...

Happens to me all day long at my job. I need a sugar daddy or to win the lotto or something.... wink Not that I'd stop working if I had money but I would be doing something I love rather than doing what I have to do to get the bills paid.

I hope everyone had beautiful and very merry christmas.

I had a good one, even though I caught the xmas spirit late. we had a nice quiet time and even had a friend over for the weekend who didn't have anyone to spend it with. she was so shocked when we had presents under the tree for her. i told her we adopted her for...

Sitting here pondering whether or not I want to do my yearly ritual of going to the mall on Xmas Eve. See, every year I usually go with a friend or two (if I can talk them into it) to the Ruby Tuesdays, bennigans, TGI Fridays....and have a few rounds before doing any last minute gift buying. This year I am pretty much done but...

Well as soon as my contracts are received by staff, the only thing left for me to do is shoot a set "on spec" before I can be an "Official SG photographer". I know it won't be an issue getting it accepted because I have some ideas and killer locations in mind for some future shooting. Nothing like being confident huh? wink

Now I just need...

Somebody entertain me...I am getting bored trying to entertain myself. I keep going back to photo editing. And while I do enjoy it, my eyes are starting to cross just a little after doing it for so much time straight... surreal
khalista:
Um, I wish I knew something entertaining to say... for now, a Hello will have to do. smile

Had to spend Sunday in the office this weekend...Saturday did give me an opportunity to go out location scouting which was nice. I found several new places that will be great for shooting. Sometimes it just helps to open your eyes I guess. I already have some good spots, but it's always good to expand your repetoire... smile

your pics are amazing!

It is beautiful!

The funny part is that I wasn't even looking... I had given up on actually 'looking'.

The best way that I can describe how I've felt about the matter and what I've done is waiting... expecting... knowing.

And even if I had still been looking, I never would have been looking in the place where our paths crossed... Kinko's.

Weird, huh.

So I was out at North Tampa Photo today and happened to come across a Canon 10D that was there on consignment. Well it turned out to be too good a deal to pass up. With 2 batteries, extended battery grip and all the trimmings for less than $900 I just couldn't let it go. So now I have this beautiful piece of electronic wonderment...

So i've been doing the whole job interview thing...I've never had a problem with talking to strangers before and I actually interview very well. For some reason today when I went to the interview I felt like a stammering idiot for the first 3 minutes of the interview. I felt like I couldn't catch my breath and it was like I was talking while trying...

Any word back from the interview yet?

Forgive me for not getting back with you sooner about the other stuff... been in/out of town, and being pulled in too many different directions this week. I will e-mail you as soon as things settle down a bit and I can pull my thoughts together in some semblance of logic. (Hopefully no later than this weekend!)
