Exactly two weeks until I move to Toronto!!
I'm filled with a mixture of exitement and fear. Still haven't found a job yet but I have faith tht everything will work out biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

So book update:

I read Georgiana, the Duchess of Devonshire by Amanda Foreman. It's a very thorough biography. Since Georgiana was entrenched in polotiics there's quite alot about the intricacies of the political situation of the time, alot of which isn't to do with Georgiana herself but sets the tone for her actual involvement in the system as well as the politicians. Quite an interesting lady. She's made it onto the list of people I would like to have met. tonguetonguetonguebiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

I've also read Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. It was lent to me by a coworker (I lent her The Book of Shadows by James Reese). This book is so invovling, it made me angry, made me laugh (alot!), and made me cry four times which is kinda embarassing on a bus blush blush blush blush blush blush An amazing book and everyone who likes historical-sci-fi-fantasy-romantic comedies/tragedies should definately read it. Yes it's all those things and yet it still works. biggrinbiggrinbiggrin Just a truly amazing novel!!!

I have a couple of books to choose from to read next. The Scandalous Lives of the Roman Emperors and Marie Antionette, The Journey, not to mention the Outlander series.

Also in book-related news - I've packed up all my books and it took 10 boxes. 2 boxes for my cds and one box so far for my dvds. But seriously, 10 boxes of books...I have alot of books. Not as many as some, to be sure, but quite alot for just me biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

I bought Voyager and Drums of Autumn by Diana Gabaldon. Didn't buy Dragonfly in Amber because Lisa (my coworker) said she'd give me her extra copy. SWEET! Yes I'm a dork for books if you haven't already noticed.

I also bought Troubadour by K'Naan. He's a favourite of mine; a fantastic poet to be sure. biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

In other news, I don't think my cd/dvd towers will fit in my new apartment. They're too tall frownfrown, guess I have to get new ones.

Also, could anyone tell me who they think the best internet provider is? I'm going to need to get that soon. Just would like some opinions. smilesmilesmile

Other than that, I hope everyone is having a great March so far.

It`s too bad that you weren't able to make it - but now that you're (almost) in town, I'm sure that we'll get to see more of each other.

I've been using Sympatico for seven or eight years now, and I'm quite pleased with the service.

I may have to look into that book about the Roman emperors; it sounds pretty interesting. Have you read anything else about/from that period of time?

Good luck with the job hunt! smile
