"GAMES"


And fickle grows the heart, so weary
Stormcloud eyes, so cold and dreary
Hate for crimes yet decided on
Games to play after the Son is gone
Price to pay for lover's loss
Take my head to repay the cost
Fight your neighbour, rape and kill
Skin the corpses, take at will
Stand in graveyards, come to stay
Games with spirits out to play
Skeletons hung invite you to dance
Willow branch sways, giving way to chance
Take out your rifle and take a dare
Beware of the houses, be monsters there
Scream for the lost, cry for their souls
A game to play, to reach your goals
Refuse of God infest the Earth
Take up arms to increase your girth
Laugh at the fallen for they can't hear
Back over their bodies with a corporate snear
Hearts to be stolen, hearts to be slain
Look at the lives that you have stained
Games taken to lightly, not serious enough
A game to end the world,
- and all of that stuff.


This is a poem I wrote for my journal entry in Creative Writing during Fundies. My prof's comment on the bottom was "Great. Right in that rock-like voice of yours - kicking at the world. Let this voice live after this course. It is an important one!" But I wonder if it did live on or not.
