Glad your cat is excited about the bird feeder. You won't be sorry (except for sweeping up bird seed it has been wonderful). It's very relaxing watching the birds (man, I am getting old!). It's like watching fish. I think it lowers my stress level.

Thanks! I wanted to give Marvin some props, seeing as how he was pretty freaked out that we left him alone again (only for a weekend this time, but it matters not to him). The bad part was that Byron had accidentally shut the inner door that leads to the cat door before we left, so Marvin was trapped in the house the whole time we were gone! And as he doesn't have a litterbox but always goes outside to do his business, well, there was a little present waiting for me here in the computer room... 
Won't be doing that again!!
