Inquiring minds want to know: regarding the decapitated baby from the last journal entry... it had autosomal recessive polycystic kidney disease. Each of its kidneys weighed about 400 grams, when a normal adult kidney weighs about 150 g. So basically the kidneys (and hence the kid) were so big, they wouldn't fit through the cervix. Oopsie-daisy.

Yes, I am a resident (a real live doctor, but still training). Yes, I do autopsies. Yes, the autopsy I discussed before was hideous, but only because the person had had a bunch of surgery and nothing was where it was supposed to be. Pile a bunch of post surgical and radiation scarring and it was like a Rubik's cube, just covered in blood and turds.




So I actually went on a REAL LIVE DATE on Thursday. Good times. It ended with me puking all over my shoes, and I wasn't even drunk. Puking and shitting, puking and shitting all night and through Friday. I knew those flu shots were bullshit.

On call this weekend. Lah-dee-dah.

Sorry I have no other exciting cases to discuss. I did one autopsy last week, but it was pretty normal. The dude had had a massive brainstem infarct, so the cause of death was pretty fuggin' obvious. Nothing exciting.

Eagerly awaiting my tax refund. It's ginormous. Do I pay off some credit cards, or do I buy something fun?

I had some crazy dream last night, involving a lot of hot vivid action with some girl, which in and of itself is good, but she was older (a LOT older) and was trailerpark chic with acrylic nails and a fake bake. Sadly, I still liked it.

I think a delicious grilled cheese is in order.
