Missing: One hour. If anyone has seen it, I miss it terribly and would like it returned.

I swear, I get a new one each fall, and someone steals it every spring.

Picked up the AntiSocial Shop video this weekend. It's pretty good for a shop vid.

Yes, indeed, it was Cole Porter. I was bopping to Sarah Vaughan singing several Cole Porter tunes at work today.

Reminds me of the Ellison story (and subsequent Twilight Zone episode) "Paladin of the Lost Hour," which is about an hour that was lost and the guardian of that hour. Well worth a read (in the Angry Candy collection).

My dreams seem to be rarely effected by what I eat. Lots of people have told me that what they eat before bed makes them dream different things, but that is not the case with me. In some ways I wish it was. Then I could have freaky dreams whenever I wanted. But, alas, no. My dreams seem chosen by some force other than my stomach.

I just remember that Atom and His Package has a pretty cool song about black metal bands called "My Black Metal Friends."

I'd say go for the CEO job. Well, first you've got to create a vacancy. But a little wetwork won't stop you, now will it? And it'll show the board of directors that you're the type of guy who gets things done. Like Joe Pesci. Use a baseball bat.

One must stay close to the porn. And keep the monkey love going.

Random cynical quotes for the day:

If you live long enough, the venerability factor creeps in; first, you get accused of things you never did, and later, credited for virtues you never had.
I. F. Stone

Most modern calendars mar the sweet simplicity of our lives by reminding us that each day that passes is the anniversary of some perfectly uninteresting event.

how did the "cunning plan" work out??

I love this one best... Happiness isn't something you experience; it's something you remember.

i wonder what that says about me?

Good morning!!!biggrin

You did yourself a favor by missing it.

I like Punk'd and Bam and Wild Boys. I'm looking forward to it coming back.

I'm tired too. I was up until 5AM both Saturday and Sunday. blackeyed

I fell asleep kind of late last night too because I was on the phone with my best friend. And I still need to clean the house this morning. I'm hungry too and there is like no food in the house. I'm craving like a bagel or something.

Friday, Friday, Friday, Friday!!!!

*happy dance*

Only a few more hideous hours of alternating between mind-numbing boredom and aneurism causing aggravation until the blessed weekend. It's supposed to be a nice one at that. I'll push around on my silly wooden toy, go see Hellboy and try to push memories of this horrid week out of my mind.

After much consideration, I believe I've...

If I cared about those kind of threads---i.e. the HOT ones---then I would most certainly post you as one of my hottest friends. And yes I would pick people on my list not just some random bloke that looked good to me. I imagine most other people do the same. Don't you think?

Anyway, since I approach everything with a slight bit of humor I figured it was to do something anti-HOT-thread and post the names of people who I though were hot based on their personality. If you follow the link in my journal you will see what I'm talking about.

If I was to ever do a post about who I thought was hot I would include my friends only and the it would be in my journal. Hmmm new journal idea maybe? *evil grin*

It's decided to be winter again. There's snow, wind and a chill right down to the bone. Ah, Calgary with it's two seasons: Winter and construction.

Got nothin' goin' on in my noodle today so here's some lyrics:

Glad to hear you're feeling better. I hope the illness didn't stop the wild monkey love, though.

Black metal is oddly one of the few genres of music that I haven't really explored. Aren't most black metal bands Scandenavian? Or am I thinking of death metal? The splintering of the metal sub-genres has left me confused.

Comicbook Guy's evil legacy continues.

Oddly, I've never seen an actual issue of Cerberus; only the phonebooks. But that probably makes sense, as I didn't become aware of it until sometime in the mid-to-late 90s when most everyone I knew who probably would've liked it had already abandoned it; by that point it'd already reached and passed it's zenith and was well on its way to the nadir (or so I'm told). One day I'll start buying up the phonebooks and see what all the fuss was about. One day.

I'm thinking that that corporate philosophy isn't exclusive to the tech workers. My brother worked for a time as an accountant, and he spoke often of his relative serfdom. Perhaps it's anyone who actually does something for the company (as opposed to executives who have no real skills and who could be fired for problems they can't understand) that gets treated poorly.

Running away to a cabin and writing letters is a good idea. Mailing out bombs is not. Then your brother would turn you in and it would suck.

The thesis is nearing completion. I hope to devote all my time to the seduction of undergrads is about a week.
smuffy:
Crikey. No update yet? I'm shocked!

You must be busy.

The rain has finally stopped here but it's still kind of dark and dank.

As you know, however, I'm perfectly happy with the weather matching my usual mood on Fridays. LOL.

Get back to me soon rugrat. kiss

Yesterday was a write off in terms of "gettin' stuff done" as I did absolutely squat.

Still feel like the bottom of a furry pile, but one day off in the middle of the week is about all I can get away with.

Though I did go down to the skate shop to swap one pair of my new kicks for a different size....

Har har har Mass is not THAT small. LOL.

There are parts of MA that takes me like two hours to drive to. I'm like on the border of RI so a lot of places in MA are pretty far. Oh and this place is still within MA!

I guess I will drive out and see what I think. The more I think of it though the less I like the idea of a long drive. I think that may be a sign that it's a bad idea.

See you later when you get to work. kiss

Still feel like the floor of a taxi cab, so I'm taking the day to sit on my rather large back-side play Quidditch World Cup, listen to soundtrack music, read comic books and sit out in the sun.

I think my "illness" may be stress related. My body seems to like to completely shut-down whenever I've been over taxing it. There's just a wee...

smuffy:
Did you have a nice day off?

Who were you hiding from you silly little girl?tongue

And it's really nice to wake up every morning with someone I love in a place that I love.

Awww that is realy sweet. I wish I could feel that positive about being in a relationship or feeling that positive about relationships at all. Judging by my history with men I have a feeling that I am not meant to be in a serious relationship. My Dragon profile even says that the dragon woman will marry several times in her lifetime---whiuch I could sadly see being completely true.

I live in a three bedroom house with my parents. We used to live in the city but several years ago we moved slightly outside of the city. We even have woods in the backyard!!!smile My living conditions are nice of course. Isn't it always when you live with parents? We have a deck too but it never gets much use by me because I am never home esp. not in the summer. But my parents do lots of things out there including tan in the buff.eeek I've come home several times with my bf and caught them putting their robes on, etc. We have neighbors but they are a bit off my ffs not THAT far off!!! What are they thinking??? Crazy fukking Europeans.tongue

What makes me happy? You mean in general or living about where I do? I'll assume the latter so I will say the best thing about living where I do is that it's absolutely free!biggrin But if you'd like me to answer that in general I suppose I could try.

Oh and of course I would like to come visit? Will your gf mind???shocked

Sorry my comments kind of sucked on monday but I was home and cleaning and gettting lots done. I had a little bit of time here on SG yesterday but you had a day off!!! frown Believe it or not with you being gone my energy with regards to SG completely deflated and I ended up updating my journal but then never getting back to anyone. I suck major ass. Oh anf I didn't have a single comment until like at night. It was sooo weird. I thought I was being ignored.

Anyway, I'm feeling less lame now.

Talk to you whenever you get back to work. kiss kiss kiss

I feel like shit today. Complete and utter shit. I'm dizzy. I'm exhausted. I feel like puke. I have to install a centralized anti-virus solution today, so I can't go home, as I'm the only one here who can do that.

The fact that I have no real job security, no place to move up in the company, no real future with it, recently had...

Amanda's job is getting her down almost as much mine is getting me down. I think we need to get drunk, screw like crazed weasels, and have some retail therapy.

I also think sometime soon we both need to play hooky for a day. Neither of us has had any time off in months. We're...

Yes. Screwing like drunken weasles is definitely the way to go. I'm pretty sure you can get a doctor's note for that.

Your assessment of the quality of zombie "classics" is pretty close to what I feel. It just annoys me that fans are so quick to forgive problems of their vaunted classics while they pounce on the problems of newer films. I tend to view every film with the same critical eye. I know, I know, what I'm asking for is for people to be somewhat objective about a subjective thing.

Perhaps we could for a Don Knotts support group. It's okay to like Don. Very okay.

I fully intend to seduce with vigor. As soon as the thesis is finished (which should be soon), I shall work my hardest to taste soft, moist folds and listen to stifled moans. I shall do my duty.

I hate to tell you this, but you probably should be wary of purchasing any more books for the bookstore that sold you the signed edition of Confederacy. John Kennedy O'Toole killed himself before the books was published; his mother got it published for him. Either the bookstore signed it themselves, or they were too incompetent to notice. Either way, I'd be cautious before buying from them again.

I'm devising an internet cattle prod specifically so I can use the boards.

you know, i think that was THE sexiest mental imagery... ever. yeah, that's right, ever. and i would like a cookie...

hehe... again with the pelvic thrusting! that's so hot... mmm... and that frog thing... maybe i'm just ridiculously tired... and i do have to finish reading my comments (again, because i read them this morning but can't seem to remember doing it), but i think you're the proud owner of a slightly used tiny little monopoly iron! oh yeah!

and when you did that oh yeah? i totally thought of that crazy huge bowl of kool-aid crashing through the wall and pouring himself for the little children, even though all kinds of debris had fallen into his head. mmm...
