I loathe our liaison with our builder. Her curt little response of "she's looking into it" got a little old three months ago. Her complete apathy towards our concerns and complaints have been irritating us so the better part of nine. Her attitude, which was stated in an off hand way, that "it's just a house" simply infuriated me.
This morning, all bright and early, we had the liaison manager -- her boss, the trades manager and our liaison come by the house to inspect the numerous complaints we gave about the shoddy workmanship on our stairs, deck and windows.
Our liaison, whom we have effectively gotten fed up with, shrank slowly as her manager directed her repeatedly to take notes and assigned teams "immediately" to deal with our outstanding problems.
Considering the she has had our complaints in her indifferent hands for months now, watching her get reamed out gave us a touch of satisfaction, but not nearly as much as the trades manager saying flatly that the work on our winders had to be completely redone as per our assessment -- pull back the carpet, and redo the entire section of drywall, as we had requested three times previously when the "repairs" were worse than the initial work.
The work on the winders our dear liaison claimed was "impossible".
As they left she stuck out her hand for the customary shaking. I took it and she apologized for it being cold.
It was very, very hard to resist saying that it was because she "was dead inside", but that would have been going to far, methinks.
The best part? Our neighbour, who has also had a stack of problems getting the liaison to address any of his concerns was waiting for them as they left. The look on her face as she saw him was priceless.

Didn't turn on my comp last night, so I neglected to upload photos of that thunder storm.
Spent the evening workin' on the yard. Yep. Remarkably, it was a good time.
