I've been in Seattle for a week so far, and I love it!
The flight went well enough, and the security checkpoint people were very nice. I mean it when I say that, I was half-expecting a slice of apple pie to take with me on the plane from them. I transferred once, from Rockford to Denver, and then to Seattle after that.
My sister picked me up from the airport, and we had a nice trip to the house we're staying at after that. There was a train ride and a bus ride, and then a walk to the house itself. I dropped my belongings off, did just a little bit of Feng Shui (the Suicide Girls comics I got at C2E2 are in the mix!), and went with my sister on a tour of the local area. We stopped and had a bite to eat, talked...then went back home. The following days saw us going to Pike Place, and wandering through the market there, followed by some grocery trips.
I miss my aunt's cat, Jones. She was upset when I left, poor kitty, now she only has my mother to rub her belly and steal the bed from. ;___; Once I've acclimated myself a little better, I'll get to finding a job, I hear there are far less terrible places to work here than where I did.
