Yesterday, I went to C2E2 with Harlee and her mother. Harlee went as Harley Quinn, in her outfit from Arkham Asylum.
We got up around 4:00 AM, and then we went to the center it was at. We were pretty early -- about 6:30 - 7:00 AM, and waited in a line to get tickets for Lauren Cohan and Steven Yeun's autographs. We all got our own. Then we dicked around until 10:00 AM, taking pictures and stuff. I got to meet the stunt 790 head from Lexx! I got a picture of it, and the person who was lucky enough to get it. Pinkie Pie gave me a cupcake, and the special ingredient was friendship. :3 I asked Rainbow Dash if she would like to hold the cupcake while I got her picture, but she was uncomfortable.
When the floor opened, we ambled around it and I got lost a couple of times, or veered off. I got Sean Astin's autograph. He was kind of pricky. Then eh...we wandered some more, and some more! Harlee got lots of pictures taken of her. While ambling around, I got Dotcom's autograph for my aunt (for reduced rent :3), a fuckton of pictures, and talked to booth people! Dotcom was severely nice. And funny. Yeah, I said severely nice.
There was some more wandering, a trip around the Artist's Alley... I met Jamie Tyndall, and he was REALLY nice. I got a picture of Belinda from Grimm Fairy Tales autographed from him, and some prints for my friend in Seattle and sister. And a few more prints.
But the highlight of the day - in addition to the giant smile plastered on Harlee's face the entire time - was meeting some of the Suicide Girls! I wish I'd gotten the names of whoever was at the booth... I know that Delia and Jaclyn were there, but you were all so sweet, taking pictures with me and selling me things. :3! I bought two comics from you! And a resubscription! Because you'll totally know one bespectacled, unshaven man from a crowd of hundreds!
I gave Harlee the resubscription, because I mooch rides home from work off of her, and she'll hit me and call me mean names if I don't give her things regularly. Keep this in mind when she subscribes, everybody! Seriously, though, I almost stroked out when I heard you guys were there. I wanted to get at least one of your autographs, and I got three!
We were going to enter the costume contest - at least Harlee was - but Lauren Cohan and Steven Yeun had a huge line and we decided "fuck it, we'll just wait here, not giving up these passes". We got the autographs, and I got one for my friend Laurence from both actors. I got this adorable picture of Lauren Cohan laughing. I'm really proud of the timing!
...then I saw the Suicide Girls again so I could get that subscription.
The Harley Quinn with the red hair is my friend. ...the other ones are not my friend. Harlee's Harley Quinn was the best one, because she's my friend. And because she hit me on the shin with her mallet. ;___;
The Fluttershys are not mai waifu, and while I do not generally like Fluttershy, the one standing in front of the display was adorable. There needed to be a Rarity cosplayer, or a Princess Celestia cosplayer; I would have had Princess Celestia molest me in front of the camera, and Rarity be the adorablest pony. I saw everypony but Applejack and Rarity. And no Derpy! D: No muffiny goodness.
Frodo was really nice, and she smelled nice! That's amazing for having travelled from Rivendell to Mordor on-foot without much bathing. ...although Frodo did get to take that stop in Lothlrien.
I got to hug Storm Troopers, and Harlee got a picture of that. :3
