Question;

When is a "high five" warranted?
I see them given willy nilly, people eagerly holding out their hands in anticipatory suspense. Are these random signs of approaval, or elite recognition, a way to say, "hey, great job." As I stood on the sideline watching my fiance's football game (a leisure league) score touch downs, acting as a well oiled testosterone machine, and pass around high five's like herpes in a high school clique. Should they be reserved as a right of passage, earned through hard dedication to a unified effort...or can they just happen because we all just want to be a part of the high five club. When IS a high five warranted?

always. i think my friends do it out of irony. "how were your bacon and eggs?" "amazing!" "yeah? high five!"

as marigold said, i too do it out of irony pretty frequently. i think it's a hilarious gesture.

and it's something i do all the time when i'm drunk.

i'm glad you like the tattoo! i will take pictures soon, and as soon as I can afford it I am going to get the color done. I have to decide on colors, though, so I think I might take some crayolas too it once it has healed and experiment a lil bit wink
