School closed for the second day. There is an inch of ice on my yard. This is rather odd, not for me, but for everyone eles. I grew up in a place that it snows for six months out of the year. This is nothing when you look as what i drove in as a teenager.
Everyone here is freaking out. A dear buddie last night was almost in tears that I wouldn't stay at her house close to work, and opted to drive across town to sleep in my own bed. Make sure my power was on, and my pets where ok.
It's just ice and snow, it's not a big deal, to me at least. I worked last night, in my two wheel drive, sports car. Yes I had chains, but some of the people I deliverd to freaked out. I driven this car for 5 years, in snow, in hail, in ice. I'm fine. These people just couldn't understand how I did it...
People where just blown away that a girl was driving a tiny car in the snow. Oh well it helped my tips. I can honestly say that I worked less then my male counterpart, and made more money. Sexism can work to my advatage.
I really wanted to go to school, but I guess sitting on my ass in my warm home is better then trying to get my car into a parking thing with 1000's of others kids.
The local TV sations seem to have run out of programing, and only can play weather news. They keep saying, "we've been on for 30 hours.." I keep flipping back and forth from my Buffy DVD's.
Elmo (our a big dog) seems to be rather happy, he's been wigglin in the snow all day. It's been rahter enjoyable to watch. The little girl dog, Citrine, is not happy. The snow is taller then her little legs. She has to jump to move. This has made her rather cranky. She spend the whole time shes out standing on ice, and getting mad at me.
The other animals are rather well, they could careless. The cat is sleeping on the chair, the ferrets get rather upset when I put them in the snow. That was two days ago. So they too are sleeping in a warm blanket.
I'm still in my PJ's... Normally I'd be in school, it's rather strange. I keep thinking that it's a trick, and i'll be kicked out of all my classes. I know i'm not, but it feels like hookie. How strange.
