Advice for friends of those with chronic illness?

Hey lovelies,

So my very dearest friend in the whole world was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis this weekend. She had double vision and weakness, ended up in the ER and has been poked and prodded all week while they figure out exactly what’s going on and where damage has already occurred. She is getting a spinal tap as I type this 😱

Do any of you have MS and can explain what it’s like? Or do you have a chronic illness and can give me suggestions on the best ways to be there for her right now? She’s in Michigan and I’m in Florida; the distance normally makes me sad but right now is breaking my heart bc I just want to wrap my arms around her 💔

What are the best things to say (or NOT to say) to someone going through this type of situation?

I was diagnosed almost 4 years ago difficult disease and everyone is different but having friends and family who either have it or are just there to be supportive and understanding ref. helps.
