It's so funny how little kids can be so bloody insulting sometimes. Today, I overheard a little girl talking about how she thought redheads are scary. That remark brought out my inner eight year old. I wanted to say "well at least I'm not an ugly snot nosed brat like you!" but adults aren't allowed to say that kind of thing to kids. Underneath my dark hair dye lies strawberry blonde hair and a total complex about having it. It took many many years to overcome me hating my red hair. Finally, thanks to Anne of Green Gables (I'm embarrassed to say) I discovered there's nothing wrong with red hair... and having a passion for books and learning. So f*** you little girl. I hope you grow up and have a passel of little red-headed brats that are disgusted with hair colors unlike their own. <3

agreed - it's very difficult sometimes, i was always the butt of ginger jokes as well - but srsly, the amount of people telling me they wished they had this colour and how hard they had to work from a bottle to get theirs to look like mine - makes up for every bad joke <3
