I've been on quite the journal-istic (pun!) tangent lately... and I'm sorry if you're tired of seeing my name and damn face in your "home" page because of it. But too bad.
Thank you to anyone that read my little short-story/ if I had dialogue, it could possibly be a novel. Nobody actually gave me any sort of comment about the story, so I'll only assume it creeped you out to the point of silence. In any case, if you haven't read it... you can find it here:

Any criticism would be appreciated. I'm certainly no literary artist, but I have moment of something, I'm sure. For those of you that did read it, and I posted a new blog before you could comment... I'd love to hear your opinions.
This post, however, is celebrating my tax refund that has become much larger than I expected.
I do believe that with the money I am getting back, I am going to get my very first credit card! (credit scares me) and purchase the photographic lighting that I have been eyeing for the last few months.
That means a studio for Matt!
Which brings me to another portion of the post. Slightly begging, slightly out of curiosity.
I want models.
It would take pages and pages to explain my mindset on photography and art in general. (Ask me some time if you'd really like to know, but here's the jest of it: Thousands upon thousands of people can take pictures of the same damn thing, but it takes someone with imagination to take pictures people will remember)
I can take pictures of the outdoors... flowers... etc, etc. And everyone's done that a million times plus one. I want to do something different. In normal life, I try to accomplish this with architectural photos (of which I don't have the opportunity to take right now, because it's freezing balls).
If there is anybody that would have interest in working out ideas, I would love to photograph real life peoples, but here's the deal:
I would love even moreso to work out fantastic, outlandish ideas. I joygasm over horror photography that involves blood and murder and mayhem and disturbance of any form!
Any photos I'd take would be completely unrelated to SG (and would be to add to my portfolio and for you to enjoy), because I doubt my photos would be their cup 'o tea.
Yes, I would obviously prefer female (because they're so much prettier than men), but I'm in absolutely no position to make demands. And yes, you can keep your clothes on. I'd much rather not be the creepy guy from the internet.
I absolutely wouldn't expect money to be exchanged in any way. I'd much rather do it for fun than business at the moment... mainly because I don't consider myself qualified to take photos in any other way than for fun.
Granted, at this stage... it's just ideas in my head, but knowing that someone would be interested in working out photos with me would allow me to make a more solid decision on my lighting purchase.
Now that my self-whoring is over, I'm still more than happy to take pictures at SGC functions and the like... because that's just fun. So yes, I'm not asking for anything certain... but if anybody would have interest, just let me know. Any artist needs a good subject.
